Eden Sweater English PDF Pattern

Original price was: €8,00.Current price is: €6,40.

Eden is a warm and comfy sweater. It’s a little cropped and it has the cutest balloon sleeves. The sweater features an interesting stitch pattern, which is way easier than it looks. Because of the simple construction and the easy stitch pattern, this design is very beginner friendly. Eden is designed with botanically dyed non-superwash yarns from Hook & Light. These yarns knit up beautifully and create an interesting texture. The natural colors are absolutely stunning and make this piece a real showstopper. Eden is worked in the round from the bottom up, then divided at the armholes to work front and back separately. The sleeves are worked in the round and are later attached to the body. Eden is designed to have some positive ease around the bust, but not too much (approx. 0 – 10 cm / 0 – 4 inches).

Choosing the right size is of utmost importance. Take your body measurements and choose the size that corresponds with them. The recommended ease for this design is approx. 0 – 10 cm (0 – 4”) of positive ease. The measurements below are the finished garment measurements, not your own.

Chest circumference:
75, (85, 95, 105) (115, 125, 135) (145, 155, 165) cm
29½, (33½, 37½, 41½) (45, 49, 53) (57, 61, 65) inches

Armhole depth:
15, (17½, 17½, 20) (20, 22½, 22½) (25, 25, 27½) cm
6, (7, 7, 8) (8, 9, 9) (10, 10, 11) inches

The pattern includes a full size chart. Feel free to email me if you need any additional measurements

MATERIALS
Needles: 6 mm circular needle (US size 10, UK size 4) or other needle size that matches gauge. I recommend using an 80 or 100 cm circular for the body, depending on the size you’re knitting.
The sleeves can be worked on a 40 cm circular needle, but DPNs or the magic loop method may be easier for the smaller sizes.

5 mm 60 cm circular needle (US size 8, UK size 6) for the neck ribbing, and 5 mm DPNs or circular needle for the sleeve ribbing. You can use DPNs or the magic loop method with a longer circular needle.

Yarn: Fingering weight yarn held together, approx. 1200, (1350, 1500, 1600) (1750, 1900, 2000) (2150, 2275, 2400) meters / 1310, (1475, 1650, 1750) (1910, 2075, 2200) (2350, 2500, 2625) yards of MC and 750, (800, 900, 950) (1050, 1125, 1200) (1275, 1350, 1425) meters / 820, (875, 1000, 1050) (1150, 1230, 1325) (1400, 1500, 1575) yards of CC. I used Falkland Merino 4ply in the colorway ‘Carnival’ from Hook & Light for my main color and Corriedale 4ply in the colorway ‘Logwood’ from Hook & Light for my contrast color. Both yarns are naturally dyed using plant-based dyes, non-superwash, and respectively 100% non-sw Falkland merino wool and 100% Corriedale wool. Falkland Merino and Corriedale come in 100g skeins (à 400m meters / 437 yards) and are available through www.hookandlight.com. Use code CHAI10 for a 10% discount on their yarn. Eden sweater kits from Hook & Light are available through this link: https://www.hookandlight.com/product-page/eden-sweater-kit. You can also use any other fingering weight yarn held together that matches gauge.

Other tools: Darning needle, scissors, stitch markers, scrap yarn OR extra cable.

**GAUGE**
22 sts × 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4” × 4”) on 6 mm needles in main stitch pattern.
